Report of bogus caller

Good morning,

I have been made aware of a possible Bogus Caller in the Broadstairs area who has been knocking on doors and claiming to be enrolled in a ‘Return to Work’ scheme. The male involved claims to have ID but refuses to show this when asked. No demands were made of residents and he left upon request. I have been out conducting door-to-door enquiries in the area and speaking to residents to issue safeguarding advice in relation to this, and have disseminated an image of the male involved to my colleagues.

While no offences have been committed I understand these sort of incidents can be unsettling, so I wanted to send out this message for your awareness and I'd urge you to read the attached advice leaflet on Rogue Traders.
