Own the Night | Championing Women's Running & Safety Across Wales

South Wales Police and Welsh Athletics have been working in partnership on the following campaign - Own the Night | Championing Women's Running & Safety Across Wales

The aims of the campaign are to:

Raise awareness of women’s safety concerns when running at night or early mornings.

Empower women to continue running through the winter months with confidence.

Educate running communities and the wider public on allyship and practical ways to support women.

‘Reclaim the streets’ – encourage groups and clubs across Wales to host a group run on Sunday 26 October, the day the clocks go back.

Further safety and privacy advice around running apps and safety apps will be provided too.

Local students and clubs are invited to find out more and fill in the below expression of interest should they wish to attend an event at Cardiff University on Tuesday 21st October.
