Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Nothing to report Burglary Other Between 11.50pm on Sunday 5 and 6.00am on Monday 6 October in Caunt’s Crescent, Sutton in Ashfield, an unlocked summer house at the bottom of a garden was entered and a smart watch was stolen. At 1.29am on Friday 10 October in High Street, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, three people wearing dark clothing and balaclavas were seen trying to lift the shutters to the Co-op food store. They ran off down Victoria Street when a car pulled into the car park leaving a crowbar on the floor. Between 5.00pm on Saturday 11 and 9.52pm on Sunday 12 October in Mansfield Road, Sutton in Ashfield, Jan’s Service Centre was broken into. The door was smashed to gain entry and windows broken with bricks. The office was ransacked and the mouse to the CCTV, a car scanner and various tools were stolen. Theft of motor vehicle Between Sunday 12 and 8.20am on Monday 13 October in Beighton Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a white Ford Transit Tipper lorry was stolen from the car park of Logical Demolition. It has been located and recovered. Between 6.00pm on Monday 13 and 4.00pm on Tuesday 16 October in Tenter Close, Sutton in Ashfield, a red Ford C-Max Titanium was stolen. Theft from motor vehicle Overnight Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 October in Welbeck Street, Sutton in Ashfield, an unlocked black Mercedes E 300 car was entered and a wallet, cash and documents were stolen. Overnight Sunday 12 to Monday 13 October in Garden Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a silver Renault Traffic van was broken into and the glove box emptied and contents scattered around. Nothing was stolen. Theft At some time before 12.54pm on Friday 10 October in Mansfield Road, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, a black and dark blue metallic Carrera Vengeance electric bike was stolen. At 5.45pm on Saturday 11 October in Farmwell Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a black with some blue mountain bike, left unsecured outside Gregg’s, was stolen. It had a faulty right hand brake. Between late afternoon on Friday 10 and 8.30am on Monday 13 October in Ashland Road West, Sutton in Ashfield, the Bellway Homes building site was broken into and diesel fuel stolen from a number of vehicles. At 6.03pm on Tuesday 14 October in Forest Street, Sutton in Ashfield, two bikes were stolen from outside Kentucky Fried Chicken by a male wearing black clothing and carrying bolt croppers. He rode off towards the bus station on one bike carrying the second. The bikes had been left in the bike stand. One was blue and black B’Twin mountain bike with one white and one gold wheel. The second, a blue Carrera with black tyres. Between 5.50pm and 6.50pm on Tuesday 14 October at the Lammas Leisure Centre, Lammas Road, Sutton in Ashfield, the chain securing a grey mountain bike to the bike stand was cut and the bike stolen. Robbery At 10.58pm on Thursday 9 October in Forest Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a Deliveroo driver was attacked outside McDonald’s as an attempt was made to steal his bike. His face was cut as he resisted his attackers who were two white males, early 20’s, wearing balaclavas. They made off on foot down the jitty between the Iceland and ASDA stores. Criminal Damage At 11.58pm on Saturday 11 October in Davies Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a kitchen window at the front of a property was smashed by two males wearing black clothing. One was wearing white trainers. Between 1.00am and 2.00am on Wednesday 15 October in Leamington Drive, Sutton in Ashfield, the lock on the gate to ‘The Shop as Well’ was cut to enter the yard. The intruder was disturbed and no entry was gained to the building. ASB At 11.59am on Saturday 11 October in St. Marys Court, The Oval, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of six white males, around 14 years old, wearing hoodies, smoking drugs in the stairwell area. A report at 2.31pm on Tuesday 14 October that in Brook Street, Sutton in Ashfield, drugs were being taken by people gathering near the fire exit at the side of Bainbridge Ballroom. This happens two or three times a week, usually in the evenings, but recently also in the morning.
