Cold Callers.

We have had a report from a resident in Cotlandswick, London Colney concerning a caller to his premise who was wearing a green top with ‘Green Energy Solutions’ on it. He had a clipboard and entered the property and whilst looking around took notes before leaving. There has been no subsequent incidents or other such reports since from the person who reported this or anyone else.

This may have been a genuine call (there are numerous Companies with such logos included) but for your own peace of mind if anyone comes to your premise pertaining to be from a Company, for whatever reason, you should, and are entitled to ask for ID. You can also if you wish ask for details and a contact number from the Company they are representing and tell the caller you are making a call to the said Company to confirm the details and visit and let them wait outside whilst you close your door to do this. They should not object to this and whether this is a bona fide visit, or not, you are not obliged to let anyone enter your premise without you feeling comfortable in doing so or without your permission.
