Longford Updates

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,  

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with: 

PATROLS 

Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, such as Arena Retail Park, CBS Arena and Longford Park where officers enjoyed a game of basketball with some teenagers.

VEHICLE CRIME & BURGLARY

We have had one report of a theft of motor vehicle this week. We have had no residential burglaries this week in the Longford area. However, we would like to remind residents to ensure that they are adequately protecting their vehicles and properties against theft, particularly as the dark nights are upon us. 

The theft of motor vehicle took place on Cope Arnolds Close, Longford between 19:30hrs on 09/10/2025 and 05:20hrs on 10/10/2025 whereby a vehicle had access gained and was stolen. If you may have heard or seen anything, please contact us quoting 20/405674/25.

STREETWATCH

We are in the process of setting up a Streetwatch in the Longford area. We have a few prospective members but we are always looking for more volunteers to get involved within the Longford and Bell Green areas - if you would like more information or if you're interested in joining, please contact Streetwatch@westmidlands.police.uk with your name, telephone number and postcode.
