Weekly Update |

Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour and burglary. We have also conducted joint visits with housing associations. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. Officers have conducted joint visits this week with local housing officers visiting ASB hotspots. This gave us the opportunity to discuss the issues in the area and to work together to come up with a plan to prevent further issues continuing. We have been out patrolling in the hot spots where ASB is occurring. These patrols are aimed to prevent further ASB continuing and speak to those causing the issues. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 4 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: We sent out a window safety message earlier this week. Make sure you have a read on the advice that is provided to keep yourselves safe in these darker nights. This week we have had a Section 34 dispersal order will be in place in parts of your local neighbourhood and surrounding areas. The dispersal order enhanced powers to tackle crime. These powers allowed officers to direct individuals to leave the area to prevent or reduce anti-social behaviour, harassment or disorder, as well as robbery. People who were told to leave and then returned would be arrested. We are continuing to work with businesses and the local authority to tackle these issues and keep residents and visitors to Coventry safe. Remember if you see anything suspicious, call 101 and tell us what you know. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields.
