PRESTON ROAD incident update CAD 449 of 15 OCT 2025

Dear residents ,

You may or may not be aware at this time of an incident on Preston Road by the shops parade where a crime scene have been put in place. At the time of writing this, we believe there is still quite a large police presence In the area, and a crime scene might be ongoing. We wanted to reach out and let you know that we are aware of the incident and as soon as we get the information we are permitted to release, we will be forwarding this on to you, with further details.

We have an increased presence in the area, and PC Bailey is part of a serial compromised on one sergeant and six officers, who will be paying close attention to the area and offering some reassurance patrols. 

At this time we do not believe that there is any ongoing risk to members of the community and a lot of work is going on in the background with a view to identifying who is involved. 

I am sure this will cause some concern within the community, however we want to reassure everyone that we are present, aware and dedicated to ensure that our community remains safe.

If anyone has any questions, then please contact 101 or the Preston SNT mailbox and we will do our best to answer any questions or concerns they may have.
