Speed gun operation on The Ridgeway

Dear residents,

Ridgeway SNT conducted a speed gun operation with Cockfosters SNT and Safer Transport Team as part of a community road watch event. This took place on The Ridgeway, junction with Oak Avenue on 14th October at 3pm. Members of the community and councillors were invited to the event and to have a go at using the speed gun. We had seen one vehicle speeding at 45 mph. Although no enforcement will take place, a letter will be sent with advice regarding the speed limit on this occasion, to raise awareness of the consequences of speeding.
