Do you have 16 hours a week of spare time? Want to provide support to your community? Have you thought about becoming a Special Constable?
Devon & Cornwall Police are currently recruiting Special Constables and we are looking for people to join us within the Truro Community.
A Special Constable is a volunteer police officer that gives their time to support their local community.
Our officers have the same powers as a regular, paid officer and receive the same standard of training.

You don’t need any previous experience – we’ll give you full training and plenty of support. What you do need is commitment, a sense of community, and a willingness to step up and help keep your community safe.
We are offering those who might be interested in the role an opportunity to spend a shift with us by carrying out a ride along and join us on duty to see exactly what we get up to.
