Local Priorities Road Safety Issues Message |

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Concerned residents and their councillors have expressed concerns with speeding vehicles through the village. Today, 14th October, Officers from your local Neighbourhood Police Team have set up a speeding check site to monitor this concern. A number of drivers were spoken to about their speed and given verbal warning. No vehicles were observed driving well in excess of the speed limit however, this is likely to be due to the fact that other road users will have warned them of our presence. This is something that will now be conducted infrequently in the village to help reduce the risk that these inconsiderate drivers pose to all road users.
