PC BROWN and PCSO SMITH have been out and about in ALLESTREE this morning responding to concerns from residents about people driving along access only roads and parking for the University.
Multiple vehicles were stopped and words of advice given before being sent back to join the traffic like every other law-abiding driver.
This vehicle was found to be parked blocking the dropped crossing, obstructing it and preventing people with disabilities from safely crossing the road, as well as blocking the pavement, meaning that people could not get by.
The driver believed that they could park anywhere but clearly not, they now have a ticket for causing an unnecessary obstruction, a ticket from the Council for parking on the dropped crossing and will have to pay for the release of their vehicle and no way home tonight.
