Suspicious Van Seized in Stevenage Leisure Park

A van parked in the Stevenage Leisure Park has been seized after father and son duo - PCs Chris and Jack Pickering became suspicious after spotting it whilst out on patrol in the area.

Checks revealed the van was untaxed and may have had a false MOT, stank of cannabis and had been left insecure.  A subsequent search of the vehicle whilst making it secure for recovery, revealed three knives, a catapult with steel ball-bearings and other drug paraphernalia.

Further checks then revealed the van was linked to drug supply activity and enquiries are in hand to trace the driver and any occupants.

We'd also like to thank the members of the public who assisted us with pushing the van into a location where it could be safely recovered.
