Good News Stories 14/10/2025

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last week, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of. 

Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands officers have conducted a Mental Health assessment for a vulnerable person in Clockhouse alongside doctors, unfortunately one of the team got assaulted by the individual, however officers were able to assist and reduce the risk to other individuals and members of the public. 

Beckenham Team have been to a call regarding youths on the roof of M&S, officers climbed the building to find 4 youths, one of the males was missing from his home address and was returned by officers. All four individuals were served with Anti-Social Behaviour Warnings for climbing a roof of a restricted area, not accessible to the public. 

Officers have conducted reassurance patrols across the local Synagogues and mosques, providing members with reassurance whilst they are open. 

One of the prolific offenders for Clock House and Beckenham has been arrested and charged with multiple offences. He attended court 13/10/2025 and received a custodial sentence of 32 Weeks. 

The Clock House team have conducted an environmental audit in some of the roads, providing residents with an opportunity to walk round with officers to discuss what can be done to keep their vehicles and properties safe within the local area. 

Beckenham Team attended the Beckenham Scouts group to introduce themselves and participate in some of the games they were doing. They provided a talk on what role of a police officer is and what to do when they are a victim of crime. A perfect opportunity to speak with some of our young residents. 

The schools’ officers have been interacting with the local schools providing them with assembly’s on protecting themselves and informing them of what to do if they are a victim of crime. This will continue into the coming weeks.
