Good afternoon Residents, On Saturday 11th October 2025 Police received a report of a Volkswagen Golf being driven in an anti-social manner in Newport. PCSO LISTON and PCSO PRICE of the Newport SNT conducted an area search for the vehicle, it was located in Muxton after it left Newport the Newport area. PCSO's Liston and Price requested support from our Patrol colleagues and PC COOPER was able to intercept the vehicle and stop it.
The vehicle was subsequently seized under Section 59 Police Reform Act 2002, as the driver had recently been issued a warning under that legislation by the St Georges & Priorslee Safer Neighbourhood Team some weeks earlier.
If you are found driving in an anti-social manner you should expect to be stopped by the Police and dealt with accordingly.

Also, this morning St Georges SNT discovered an unattended vehicle whilst on patrol, further checks revealed it had been untaxed since July, that vehicle was also subsequently seized for that offence and the owner risk's loosing their vehicle. Kind regards, St Georges, Muxton and Priorslee SNT.
