Quinton - Op Skybridge Deployment. |
||
Dear Resident,
Today marks the start of the second week for Op Skybridge and their deployment to the Quinton area.
We have had some success in the last 6 days or so which includes arrests for possession of imitation firearms, threats to kill and theft of motor vehicle – amongst others.
As with any other deployment, we spend a lot of time analysing data and identifying crime patterns to assist us with pursuing offenders and bringing them to justice.
We have identified some areas in relation to theft of motor vehicle and we wanted to share with you our top 5 crime prevention tips:
As always, don’t leave valuables in your car. Even an empty bag that gives the perception that it contains valuables could become a target, resulting in the damage or even theft of you car.
With the darker morning and evenings drawing closer, it brings with it the frosty mornings. So now is a good time to remind you about the risks of leaving keys in your car. Thieves will take every opportunity available to them, and they will do it in seconds. Never leave your car engine running unattended, even if you are nearby or have it in view.
