Hate Crime Awareness

Officers from Finsbury Park Safter Neighbourhood Team (FP SNT) attended the ‘GO AFRICA HUB’, a community club working with people from the black community in Finsbury Park. Alongside the LBI and community partners, neighbouring NPT Teams joined this meeting to raise awareness on Hate Crime within the community. Valuable discussion took place about the variations of Hate Crime and explained their mental health and social consequences in day-to-day life. Officers also attended a session held at the Mosque, presenting to a group of young people on Hate Crime and explaining the reporting processes. The sessions were engaging, and the community was left reassured and educated on the subject of Hate Crime.
