Foot Patrol Pays Off: Officers Bag Four Arrests and Two Happy Reunions! |
||
The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out high-visibility foot patrols in and around the gardens today as part of their ongoing work to tackle crime and keep the city centre safe.
During the patrols, officers arrested four individuals for a range of offences, including public order offences, harassment, and an outstanding warrant. All four have been taken into custody and are being dealt with accordingly.
In addition to the arrests, officers also located two children who had been reported missing earlier in the day. Thanks to the team’s quick response and local knowledge, both children were found safe and have since been returned home to their families.
Sergeant Jon Wyatt of the Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“Our officers are out on foot patrol every day, engaging with the community, tackling anti-social behaviour, and ensuring Piccadilly Gardens remains a safe place for everyone. Today’s results show the value of visible policing — we’ve been able to take offenders off the streets and reunite two children with their families. We’ll continue to work hard to keep the area safe and support those who live, work, and visit the city centre.”
The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to encourage members of the public to report any concerns or suspicious behaviour to police via 101 or through the GMP website, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. | ||
