Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for past week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 2nd October 2025 to 9th October 2025.
Please Note In a response to recent burglaries in Banstead, PC FERMA and PC STRATTEN have conducted unmarked patrols around the area during their night shift.
To deter any potential burglars we always recommend: - Store keys safely away from letterboxes. - Keep valuables out of sight from windows. - Ensure that all windows and doors are locked and secured. - Leave both internal and external lights on during the evening.

Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been seven reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. These included reports of a Rogue Trader, Investment Fraud, Courier Fraud, and 2 reports of Telephone Fraud claiming to be from Hammersmith Police,.
Burglaries North 04/10/2025 Between 05:10 to 05:13. Cunningham Road, Banstead. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through the side door to the property. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45250120931) Between 03/10/2025 00:00 to 08/10/2025 21:43. Wilmot Way, Banstead. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – To be confirmed. Stolen: 2 Watches, Mobile Phone and a Wallet containing money. (PR 45250122773)
Central Between 04/10/2025 04:00 to 07/10/2025 07:00. Cormongers Lane, Merstham. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry – Entry has been gained into a communal bicycle storage area. Stolen: Bicycle. (PR 45250122545)
South 04/10/2025. 17:30. Greenfields Road, Horley. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through the rear door to the property. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45250121156) 04/10/2025. Between 07:10 to 18:00. Massetts Road, Horley. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Entry has been gained into the victim’s accommodation. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time. (PR 45250121842)
