Appeal for witnesses and CCTV footage following serious assault in Chilworth

We are appealing for witnesses, information and footage following a serious unprovoked assault in woodland off Roman Road in Chilworth.

During the incident, which occurred between 9.30am and 10.30am on Tuesday 7 October, the victim – a man in his 60s – was assaulted by two men, both aged between 18 and 19 years.

It’s reported that the men punched the victim in the body, face and on the back of the head.

It’s stated that one of the men also had a small blade in their possession.

It’s believed this was also used during the incident, causing a laceration to the victim’s shoulder. 

The first man we’d like to speak to in connection with this incident is described as;

• White
• Approximately 5ft 8ins tall
• Slim build
• Brown hair swept to the right
• Wearing a black hooded top, light blue jeans and lime green trainers

The second man we’d like to speak to in connection with this incident is described as;

• White
• Approximately 5ft 8ins tall
• Slim build
• Brown hair
• Wearing dark clothing
