OP VULTURE - Court Result shoplifter Lindsay MAGUIRE

Today at Lancaster Magistrates Court, Lindsay MAGUIRE, 70 years old of East Road, Lancaster has been found guilty of two thefts in October 2025 from a city centre supermarket. The courts heard that MAGUIRE would enter the stores and steal bottles of wine due to his alcoholism. 

The magistrates issued him a £158 fine which included compensation to the stores.

The local neighbourhood team are trying to work with partner agencies to get MAGUIRE into more suitable accommodation to support him due to a sudden and very frequent rise in his offending. In the mean time, we ask shopkeepers to keep an eye out for him and ask him to leave your store to disrupt him trying to steal and to phone 999 if he refuses and becomes aggressive.
