Foot patrol (10/10/2025)

Rick took on every street Rush Green had to offer yesterday evening over the course of more than 3 hours (9.31 miles).

Beginning with a lap around Eastbrookend's Bardag lake (6.12pm), it was into Great Cullings, Valentines Way, Fels Farm Mews (6.52pm) and Eastbrook Drive via Footpath 18 (p).

All of Parish Fields, including Carnation Close (7.17pm, p), and Harveys Lane followed.

The areas east and west of Dagenham Road, which included Footpath 155 (7.55pm), Lilac Gardens (8.12pm p), Philip Close and Leonard Avenue (8.34pm), were covered in full.

It was then back south via the front lakes and the May and Baker Social Club.

"Whether you're coming home from work, walking the dog or popping to the shops, we know that the darker evenings can create a bit of apprehension. That's why we're making a point of being out on the ward as much as we can be, including 21 miles of our streets and parks over the last two late shifts.

And even if you haven't seen us, hopefully reading about our patrols will offer some reassurance that we are out there."
