Local police action - The Angel Pub, Roehampton High Street

Dear Resident

As your local police Inspector, I would like to provide you with the following update regarding police activity in your area.

Following a number of ongoing reports of drug dealing and continued Anti Social Behaviour at The Angel Public House, Roehamptoin High Street over the course of the summer, officers from your Roehampton Neighbourhood team led by PC Roberta Gavin and PC James Quail obtained and executed a drugs warrant at the location on Friday evening (10th October). During the course of the incident, search dogs and the police helicopter were also utilised in the search for suspects.

Following a search of the premises, two arrests were made for persons who were circulated as wanted for other offences including robbery. A quantity of drugs were found and accordingly, I have utilised powers available to me to order the temporary closure of the pub until Monday 13th October. An application for a longer closure will be submitted to Magistrates Court next week. 

This warrant was a result of extensive and painstakingly detailed work by the Roehampton Neighbourhood team who were acting on information provided by yourselves. We are wholly committed to dealing with issues that affect your day to day lives and would urge you to keep reporting crime and / or ASB in your area via 101, Met Engage or through Crimestoppers. Every single report however big or small is reviewed and contributes to our officers being able to deal with local concerns.
