Meole Copthorne and Sutton Safer Neighbourhood Team have been in Longden Coleham area monitoring cycling on the footpath and Greyfriars Bridge. A number of people have been spoken to and advised to dismount and push there cycle over the bridge, it does state no cycling on the path before you go over the bridge and also a sign stating no cycling. A number of school children from Meole and Priory have also been spoken to regarding cycling on the footpath opposite Coleham School when approaching Greyfriars Bridge, this path is narrow and members of the public sit outside the cafe enjoying a cup of coffee, we will continue to monitor the situation due to this being a concern raised from the public. |
