Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 3.15am on Thursday 2 October in Beck Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, the home owner was wakened by a bang and the sound of the unlocked front door opening. A curtain over the door came down as it was opened. Nothing was taken. Between 7.00pm on Thursday 2 and 7.00am on Friday 3 October in Alfreton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, A house was entered and a laptop, house and car keys were stolen. The door was not damaged so it it thought it was left unlocked. The car keys were used to take the vehicle. Between 9.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday 4 October in Aspley Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a male was seen trying to break in through the front door of a property. He tried to snap the door handle and used a small pair of garden shears to try and force the door. Having failed he then went round the back and tried to force the back door. No entry was gained. Between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Friday 3 October in Stoneyford Court, Stoneyford Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a flat was broken into while the owner was out and a bank card and money was stolen from a backpack. Burglary Other Nothing to report Theft of motor vehicle Between 7.00am on Monday 8 September and 11.00pm on Sunday 28 September in Mill Lane, Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield, a Navy blue Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck, parked on a driveway awaiting repair, was stolen. Theft from motor vehicle At 3.20pm on Friday 3 October in Lindley Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a white male in a light coloured raincoat, joggers, Nike trainers and a large backpack, rummaging through the cab of a white Citroen Dispatch van. Nothing was stolen. He also searched a nearby skip. Theft Nothing to report Criminal Damage Between Saturday 4 September and Tuesday 7 October in Upper Mill Street, Sutton in Ashfield, glass in a door was damaged. At 9.24am on Thursday 2 October in Windsor Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of fences between back gardens and a footpath being kicked down on a number of occasions over the past few weeks. It mainly happens after 9.00pm in the evenings. Between 5.00pm on Saturday 4 and 9.13am on Sunday 5 October in Russell Street, Sutton in Ashfield, every window in a black Volkswagen Polo car was smashed. At 8.43pm on Monday 6 October in Davies Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a male dressed in black opened the gate and entered a garden and then hit a window twice with a brick. The window was not damaged. ASB At 7.06pm on Monday 6 October in The Lawn Pleasure Grounds, Lawn Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of fireworks being let off near the football pitches by a group of males wearing masks and riding e-bikes. At 7.36am on Monday 6 October in Silverhill Lane, Teversal, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a male on an orange scrambler bike going up and down the footpaths on the bottom trail of the Silverhill Wood site. At 9.18am on Monday 6 October in Low Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of three males and a female shouting and swearing at each other and being threatening to members of the public.
