OP VULTURE - Court Result shoplifter Emma Dennison |

I would like to update you today that Emma Dennison, of no fixed abode, Lancaster has on Monday 6th October 2025, been found guilty of four thefts from shops and stalls at Lancaster Magistrates Court. Dennison was issued a 4 month prison sentence which was suspended for 12 months and also ordered to pay compensation to the shops involved.
The courts agreed with the Neighbourhood Policing Team’s request to issue Dennison a Criminal Behaviour Order for two years banning her from entering Lancaster City Centre as bounded by the A6 one way system, including SAINSBURY’S SUPERMARKET, CABLE STREET, LANCASTER, KINGSWAY RETAIL PARK, LANCASTER and PARLIAMENT STREET RETAIL PARK for any reason.
This will go some way to reduce her offending in the city centre. Any breach of the order is an arrest and remand to court to answer for breaching a court order.
OP VULTURE is Lancashire’s commitment to tackling shoplifting. In Lancaster this is headed by PC Shaun Foster and PC Sian Seddon who are the City Centres neighbourhood police officers. Since the operation was began in October 2023, the local neighbourhood team has been targeting the prolific shoplifters, especially those that use viole nce towards our shop workers.
