ROAD SAFETY

Good afternoon Resident,

Today both PC 15010 MCELLIGOTT and I completed road safety checks in KINGS HILL, WOULDHAM, IGHTHAM, LARKFIELD and AYLESFORD. This involved stopping vehicles going through no entry signs and using the speed gun to capture speeders. We also attended a couple of 999 calls to reports of a road traffic collision on the A228 LEYBOURNE BYPASS and reports of an elderly women with Alzheimer's who was missing. 

In total 12 traffic offence reports were issued for vehicles exceeding 9 miles over the speed limit, 3 tickets for going through a no entry sign, 1 vehicle seized for driving whilst being disqualified and 1 male was stopped under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act. We stopped countless others to talk about their speed who were doing just over the speed limit.

All in order this was a production day while enforcing the importance of road safety.
