Miners Welfare Skatepark

Local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have been notified by Cinderford Town Council that, on numerous occasions this week, council staff have had to attend the Miners Welfare Skatepark due to the swings being wrapped around the crossbar, rendering them unusable for other members of the community.

While an isolated incident can be overlooked, this behaviour has been occurring every evening this week, resulting in council staff spending time each morning unravelling the swings so they can be safely used as intended.

Police have reviewed CCTV footage and identified that these incidents are taking place at approximately 8 p.m. each evening, involving the same group of youths.

We would like to remind everyone that this facility is provided for the enjoyment and use of the entire community. Actions that cause damage or prevent others from using the area as intended are unacceptable and will be addressed accordingly.
