Safer Streets Summer campaign |

Led by Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables with support from the Home Office, the national Safer Streets Summer campaign was launched on Monday 30 June. This initiative brought together police forces and partner agencies to focus on crime prevention, community engagement and high-visibility policing where it matters most. We are proud to have taken part in the campaign over the past three months, with our Neighbourhood Policing Teams particularly focusing on tackling ASB in Lancashire

Our officers and staff work hard all year round to keep our communities safe and our town centres welcoming for everyone. The ‘Summer of Action’ has enabled us to develop an even stronger focus on targeting offenders and engagement with our communities. Initiatives like Operation Centurion and Op Vulture have already made a real difference in tackling anti-social behaviour and shoplifting.
We have dealt with this demand with focus and a determination to deliver in tackling local issues and have sent a clear message that ASB and offences such as shoplifting, assaults on shopworkers, personal theft and riding dangerous and illegal e-bikes and e-scooters will not be tolerated in Lancashire. | ||
