Mini Police

Dear Resident

Around 40 pupils at Aycliffe Drive primary school in Grovehill, #HemelHempstead, have been presented with certificates for completing the Mini Police programme.

The initiative is an interactive project for children in years five and six and sees officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) visit schools to deliver lessons over several weeks.

Topics covered include things such as road safety, personal safety, staying safe online and anti-social behaviour.

The programme aims to promote responsible citizenship and help young people build positive relationships with the police.

During the graduation ceremony, the children had an opportunity to look round a police van, as well as an ambulance and fire engine.
