Patrol in Lincoln square ends in arrest

Yesterday Town Hall NBOs PC Hall and PC Gregory were patrolling Lincoln square when they noticed a male drinking alcohol which was in breach of the PSPO in the area.

Whilst dealing with this breach of PSPO the officers noticed that another male skateboarding in the area had drug paraphernalia in his possession, and so searched him under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. He became obstructive during the search trying to deter officers from searching him properly however they persevered and found the male to be in possession of cannabis and an offensive weapon. The male was arrested and has now been charged with Obstruct Police, Possession of Class B and Possession of an Offensive Weapon.

Neighbourhood patrols will remain visible in the area of Lincoln Square in response to concerns raised by the community, and will proactively deal with any issues in this area
