ALVA COMMUNITY COUNCIL
INTRODUCTION
The community police officers for Alva are PC 247 James Miller and PC 652 Fraser Easton, who are stationed at Alloa Police Station, Kilncraigs, Alloa. You can contact them by calling 101 or by e-mail at –

There were 12 incidents of criminality recorded in September 2025.
PRIORITIES
ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
There were 0 crimes recorded of anti-social behaviour in the area over the last month despite there being anti-social behaviour.
VANDALISM
There was 1 recorded incident of vandalism in the area over the last month. They were as follows -
About 2230hrs, on 12th September 2025, a vehicle parked on Brook Street was vandalised by a youth. This youth was traced and issued with a Recorded Police Warning.
VIOLENCE
There was 1 recorded incidents of violence in the area over the last month.
About 1430hrs, 16th September 2025, on East Stirling Street a youth was assaulted to their injury. Police have traced two youths and have reported them as necessary.
ACQUISITIVE CRIME
There were 3 recorded incidents of acquisitive crime in the area over the last month. It was as follows –
Around 0500hrs on 4th September 2025, on Caroline Crescent, a theft from a motor vehicle occurred resulting in numerous possessions being stolen. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
Around midday on 8th September 2025, at COOP, a theft by shoplifting has occurred resulting in goods to the value of £40.00 being stolen. There are no further lines of enquiry.
About 2100hrs on 13th September 2025, at Park Street, a vehicle was left insecure, and a quantity of cash was stolen from within. A male youth has been identified and will be reported to the necessary authority in due course.
ROAD TRAFFIC
There was 1 recorded incident of road traffic offending in the area over the last month.
About 1300hrs, on 25th September 2025, on Craighorn Road, a vehicle collided with a garden wall resulting in thousands of pounds of damage and did make off without stopping. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
INCIDENTS OF NOTE
About 0600hrs, on 2nd September 2025, at Beauclerc Street towards Johnstone Park, a cane corso dog acted in a dangerous and out of control manner by biting a person to their injury. There are no further lines of enquiry for this matter however the dog warden has been made aware should any similar incident arise in the future.
From the end of August into the start of September, the complainer of Silverburn Gardens has been the victim of a bogus workmen type fraud whereby monies were provided up front for driveway works with the work failing to take place.
About 0200hrs, on 21st September 2025, on Craighorn Road, a male breached bail conditions and remains outstanding. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
There was one communication offence committed between ex-partners where Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
As a result of youth issues, Police attended at a premise on Myretougate to conduct a joint licensing check with Trading standards and the local Licensing team resulting in a licensing offence being identified. Advice was given in relation to the sale of tobacco and vape products also.
On 29th September 2025, at Craighorn Road, a male has breached bail conditions. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
ANY OTHER COMMUNITY ISSUES
The Clackmannanshire Community Team will continue to target local drug dealers utilising intelligence received from the community. This intelligence is essential to enable officers to act against those involved and we encourage any information to be passed to the police or via Crimestoppers.
Facebook and Twitter – Community Messages can be placed on local Police sites via the Community Sergeant, currently PS 752 Alisdair Goldie who is based at Alloa Police Station.
Enforcement of parking restrictions will continue to be carried out so please park safely with consideration for others and abide by the local restrictions.
