Hello Neighbours!
If you watched Doorbell Detectives on BBC last June, you might be interested to know that they are going to be filming in the Penketh and Great Sankey area of Warrington for the Street section of the programme.
The producers - Purple Productions got in touch with us to say that they spent the past few weeks casting residents, but they would really like to speak directly to the Neighbourhood Watch leaders in those areas. If you'd like to get in touch with them please do via Doorbelldetectives@purpleproductions.co.uk or WhatsApp/text on: 07386 695 758
Here is the information that they shared on the type of content they are looking for:
Type of Incidents: Any crime affecting local communities, including but not limited to: Fly tipping, Parcel theft, Burglaries, Pet napping, Anti-social behaviour, Car theft, Criminal damage for example. Timeframe: Incidents should have occurred within the last five years to recently.Footage Requirements: The crime must have been captured on doorbell or CCTV cameras.Contributors must still have access to the footage and be able to send it to us via Doorbelldetectives@purpleproductions.co.uk or WhatsApp/text us on: 07386 695 758 Case Status: We’re open to hearing from people whose footage has led to a conviction. We’re also interested in cases where the police file is still open - highlighting the story and showing the footage on national TV may help with ongoing enquiries.Or residents might just have some great footage caught on their doorbell/cctv that they just want to share with us.
Do let us know how you get on, it's clear that there is a large and vibrant community of neighbours looking out for each other in the Warrington area - thank you so much for everything you do.
Best wishesCharmian
