Mental Health Day

Good afternoon

Pershore Safer Neighbourhood Team attended Pershore College today alongside other agencies to support the Mental Health Awareness week.

We met with lots of students and we chatted about various different topics including keeping themselves safe.  Happy to say that they all said they haven't encountered any situations in Pershore that has caused them concern and they know how to call Police if they are worried about anything.

It is important that we build trust and relationships with the younger members of the community as a lot of them do not know the role we undertake as Community Support Officers and Safer Neighbourhood Officers and its about having that awareness and being comfortable in talking to us.  We are extremely passionate about working hard in our area to tackle crime and anti- social behaviour aswell as other concerns and work alongside partner agencies to offer support to anyone that needs it.

We are always happy to attend such events where we can speak to members of the community as well as being a presence.
