This email is not intended to cause any alarm or distress, however it is intended to provide yourself with additional knowledge around prevention and how to keep additional precautions into having a greater deterrence to opportunists who may target yourself and your property.

Rumworth and Deane has seen a recent spike in crimes against vehicles therefore is seemed to appropriate to disseminate some information which may be useful to residents, especially with the nights getting longer.

Keep all valuables out of sight and out of vehicles.

Install steering locks and ensure vehicles are locked.

Park vehicles in well lit areas, in range of street lighting and other vehicles.

If able, park vehicles in front of CCTV / Ring door bell or have CCTV/Ring door bell fitted to your own property is applicable.

Keep vehicles in a secure garage if able.

Never leave your engine running and leave your vehicle.
