Three people arrested in proactive city patrols |
||
Three people have been arrested across Stoke-on-Trent as part of our #problemsolvingpolicing patrols.
Neighbourhood officers have been carrying out visible foot patrols at hotspot locations for crime and anti-social behaviour as part of our continued efforts to tackle the issues affecting local people and businesses the most.
On Friday (3 October), officers on the beat responded to reports of a man acting suspiciously near Poundland in Hanley. He was stopped and was recalled to prison after we checked his identity.
On the same day, another team of proactive officers stopped a 36-year-old man, of no fixed address, on Vale Street who was wanted in connection with a theft. He was charged and will be appearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 23 October.
The next day (Saturday 4 October), officers on patrol in Fenton stopped another man on Oldfield Street who was recalled to prison.
These patrols are continuing across Staffordshire as we work proactively to tackle crime in hotspot locations and to act on the concerns of local people and businesses. | ||
