Good Evening from your local neighbourhood officer, 

Below is a breakdown of the burglaries and vehicle crime which has been report since the last WMNow post. These incidents occurred between 28th September 2025 and 6th October 2025.  

Burglaries:

On 28/09 at 20:30 there was a burglary at Berwick Lane whereby money was stolen.

On 30/09 between 00:01hrs and 05:55hrs there was a burglary on Peace walk whereby a Volkswagen Golf was stolen.  

On 03/10 between 1748hrs and 1750hrs there was an attempted brake in on Peel Close. 

Vehicle Crime: 

Between 100hrs on 02/10 and 0720hrs on 03/10 a Ford has been stolen from Fulwell Mews. 

Between 20:00hrs on 01/10/25 and 08:45 on 2/10/25 a red Scirrocco has been stolen from WAVERS MARSTON.

Crime prevention advice

-  Please consider purchasing a steering wheel lock for your vehicle. This will decrease the chances of your vehicle being targeted by offenders. Also remember to double check that your vehicle is locked, before leaving it unattended. Installing an immobiliser and covert tracking device will also increase the chance of getting your vehicle back should it be stolen.

-  Please don’t leave valuable items on show inside your vehicle. Even loose change can be appealing to vehicle offenders.

- Consider installing anti-snap locks to all external windows and doors on your home. This will make it more difficult for potential burglars to gain access to your home. Installing a monitored burglar alarm is also a great deterrent. Try to make the front and rear of your property as well-lit as possible by installing motion activated lighting.

- CCTV is a great deterrent for offenders. This can also be crucial in linking criminals to multiple crimes.

Upcoming date which your local neighbourhood officer wants you to be aware of. On SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2025 between 10:30am and 1130am officers will be at Marston Green Library, 16 Land Lane B37 7DQ for your monthly beat surgery.
