What's been happening this week in Stockland Green & Erdington …. 

Patrols have been conducted as a directive from force level around the religious establishments offering visible reassurance to the local residents, people working and visiting the areas of Erdington & Stockland Green. 

7 x pieces of local intelligence have been submitted in the system from daily activity interacting with local community and engagement with incidents that neighbourhood officers have come across. 

Cuppa with a copper took place at Highcroft Social Club on Saturday 4th October…. 6 people attended …. Intelligence passed to officers regarding drug dealing from a vehicle in Milverton / Isley Road. 

Resolved several concerns raised by local residents who have had a need to contact the team’s HMO lead whereby issues raised regarding the HMO property & it’s occupants. 

7 x Targeted patrols throughout the week in the areas of Erdington High Street & Stockland Green engaging with local residents and people associated with the area. 

Visit carried out at a registered children’s home 3 Bromford Road …. For a curfew check for a young person whom the home was concerned with regarding his behaviour. Also, a visit carried out to another children’s home on Kingsbury Road to discuss a matter with staff. 

After several months working with local residents and Birmingham City Council regarding reports of drug use and loitering of youths in the over grown hedges on The Avenue in Erdington, this has now been addressed and opened up with the hedgerow cut back. ( see attached photo’s of before and after ).
