Successful Arrest in Acton Park Following Sexual Assault Investigation

Last week, officers from Acton Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) made a significant breakthrough in an ongoing sexual assault investigation dating back to earlier this year. The arrest came after a call from the victim, who reported seeing the suspect in Acton Park.

Upon arrival, officers were provided with a description of the individual, which enabled them to quickly identify him as a known frequent offender and drug dealer operating within the Acton ward. This identification marked a pivotal moment in the investigation, as the suspect had previously remained unidentified.

Acton SNT immediately liaised with CID, who were leading the investigation, and coordinated a plain clothes operation to apprehend the suspect. Officers strategically positioned themselves around key exit points in the park. When the suspect was spotted, officers moved swiftly and effectively to detain him.

This arrest highlights the value of cross-team collaboration, with Acton SNT working closely with CID and receiving support from Chiswick officers.
