Attempt Burglary Near You

Dear Resident

You are receiving this alert because you live in the vicinity of an attempt burglary that occurred on Hill Top Lane, this occurred in the early hours of Sunday 5th October between 0230hrs and 0810hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock to allow entry, however access has been denied due to interior padlocks thankfully.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 05/10/2025 0200-0820hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
