Earlier today, three members of the Filey and Eastfield Neighbourhood Team conducted patrols outside three local schools, focusing on enforcement of zig-zag parking regulations.

We’re pleased to report that no offences were recorded at Cayton or St George’s Schools. However, three violations were identified at Filey Junior School, and the drivers involved will receive traffic offence reports by post in the coming days.

This initiative is part of a targeted response to one of the most frequent concerns raised by our community. Our primary aim is to ensure the safety of children during school drop-off and pick-up times.

These patrols will continue throughout the academic year, and on occasion, officers may be operating in plain clothes to monitor compliance.

We would like to thank the vast majority of parents and carers who consistently follow the clearly marked traffic signs. Your cooperation plays a vital role in keeping our school environments safe.
