Burglary Near You

Dear Resident, 

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Thornbury Avenue, this occurred at 19:19 hrs of the5/10/25 and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

UNKNOWN SUSPECTS HAVE ATTACKED LOCK ON FRONT DOOR GAINING ENTRY TO DETACHED PROPERTY. SUSPECTS HAVE DONE UNTIDY SEARCH OF THE PROPERTY. UNKNOWN WHAT ITEMS HAVE BEEN STOLEN AS VICTIM IS CURRENTLY IN INDIA. SUSPECTS MAKE OFF BY UNKNOWN MEANS.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 19:00 - 19:30 to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
