Incident: Serious Assault – Scotter Road, Scunthorpe Humberside Police is investigating a serious assault on an elderly resident at her home address on Scotter Road, Scunthorpe. The victim was approached by a male who claimed he was enquiring about a car for sale. The victim does not own a car. Shortly after, the male returned and assaulted her on her doorstep, causing significant injuries. We are asking residents, particularly older persons in the area, to let us know if anyone approached them in similar circumstances on or around this date. If you were asked about a car for sale, or had any suspicious callers, please contact us. We are also appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage from the following times and locations: The suspect is described as: The suspect arrived and left in a red Ford Focus, believed to be using cloned plates.
