Fraudulent activity - Stop! Think Fraud

Reported to us from a resident in Milton under Wychwood was regarding a lady cold calling residents and asking if they had any gold or other items for sale.

Our concerns are raised due to the lady making attempts to gain entry, also taking the hands of our caller and looking at the jewellery she had on while being insistent about asking for any further items.

She has been described as English, in her 40s to 50s and carried what looked like an expensive Mulberry handbag.

The advice from us is wherever possible not to engage with cold callers, generally they will carry no identification ,the biggest concern for us is that she stated "police were notified" that she was selling/buying in the area.

We would not at any point sanction this.
