||
Hello Resident,
We appreciate your support by being part of Neighbourhood Link, and understand that completing survey’s is not something everyone wants to do, but locally, we would appreciate if you can complete the below confidence survey as it is really beneficial to us, to understand what our local residents think about Burbage Police. If you haven’t already completed this, please take a look. (it should only take a minute and please use a Burbage postcode if you are living in Burbage or relates to Burbage Police). https://survey.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk/Survey/GUID/e4207acb-bd0b-4000-b735-d4ae32bcffd6
Reported Crime and Appeals
Report of criminal damage to a vehicle on East Close on the 3rd of October. We have some positive lines of enquiry and will be looking to take action very soon regarding this. As always, if you have any information or CCTV regarding criminal damage to vehicles, please get in touch. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk
Several reports of fallen trees. Lutterworth Road appears to have been the main location, where a vehicle has crashed. No reported injuries but please be mindful when driving around country lanes etc during the higher winds.
Reports of abandoned vehicles. If you have concerns around abandoned vehicles, this can be reported via 101. If the Police do not have powers to remove the vehicle, it can be reported to HBBC via Report an abandoned vehicle | How to report an abandoned vehicle | Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council
Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
We have completed a lot of patrols of recent days where we have targeted areas such as local parks and areas raised as concerns by residents. Areas include Solo 1 allotments, Tilton Road Park and Sketchley old village area.
(Solo 1 allotments off Brookside. Parks visited include Hinckley Road, Tilton Road and Rugby Road Park) We engaged with dog walkers and youths in these areas.
We are also completing work with HBBC around neighbours disputes, completing CCTV work around recent incidents and working with local schools regarding parking issues.
Crime prevention and issues to be aware of
Dog Mess. Through my own experience (not a nice one) and through speaking to residents, people not picking up dog waste is continuing to be an issue in Burbage. Whilst most owners are responsible, it appears there are several people who still behave in this disgusting manner. If you are not responsible enough to pick up your dog waste, it raises concerns around the ability to own a dog. If you have evidence of someone not picking up their dog waste, please report here Report dog fouling to us | Dog fouling | Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council
We continue to do what we can around school parking and manner of driving around school areas. Further complaint regarding this issue from Sketchley Primary. We remind schools, partner agencies and parents, that keeping children safe at school time is a shared responsibility and ask those involved to consider the potential consequences of what they are doing and the impact it could have on someone’s life.
Thank you and take care.
