Vehicle crime reports in Gaynes Park Road |
||
Morning All,
On 30th Sep 25 there was a report of a work van being broken into in Gaynes Park Road. It happened between the 9.45am and 9.55am. The victim pulled up and went inside the address. Within a few minutes the suspects, wearing balaclava's were seen around the van. They had drilled a hole in the side of the van in an attempt to steal tools. Luckily a neighbour saw what was happening and shouted at them and they fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
On 1st Oct 25 at 4.30am there was an attempt to steal a Mercedes from Gaynes Park Road. The vehicle had a steering wheel lock installed however the suspects had cut the steering wheel in an attempt to remove it. The victim woke up and heard a noise disturbing the suspects and they fled the scene before Police arrived.
I have attached a picture of how a steering wheel lock should be attached. I know that sometimes it is difficult to attach the lock this way however if the locking mechanism is incorrectly installed the steering wheel can be cut and the lock manoeuvred off. | ||
