Bordesley Green: Recent Burglaries/Attempts

I wanted to reach out to the community regarding a recent series of incidents whereby a group have been trying door handles, kicking doors and in one case successfully gaining entry to a premises and stealing there vehicle. 

At present i have two reported incidents on Heather Road and a successful burglary on St Oswald's Road. These all appear to be connected from current footage we have.

These incidents are all being investigated and all lines of enquiry are being explored. 

My ask is that any unreported incidents, get reported as soon as via 101. 

Any persons who have footage, please send this into the police. You can contact myself and i will send you a link to upload the footage 

Please invest in anti snap locks, secure doors that are not easily kicked in, CCTV and Video doorbells. If you have a key-less entry car then keep these in a Faraday bag/box. We are approaching the darker nights so where able keep a light on to deter criminals.

I appreciate the ask of the community and quite rightly you'll ask what the police are doing to keep you safe. 

I have requested a change in resources so that there is officers available for patrol overnight 

I have also made a request for more door/window alarms, Faraday bags and safety alarms so that in the coming weeks, we can hand these out to local residents
