Dear Residents,
Here’s a brief snippet of what our Smethwick Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week:
What’s been happening
Smethwick town officers have Arrested one person on suspicion for driving whilst unfit through drink.
Smethwick neighbourhood team have Arrested two individuals for recall to prison.
Police officers of Smethwick town have charged Two males for driving offences and drug related offences and possession of a bladed article.
Smethwick town police officers whilst out on patrol have Stop and seized a disqualified driver’s vehicle. who will be reported to court for the offences.
local neighbourhood team officers have Stopped and searched a male and his vehicle and located multiple wraps of class A drugs. Male reported to court for the offence.
Smethwick neighbourhood team police officers have Seized multiple vehicles for road traffic offences.
Smethwick Town officers have been patrolling the high street due to some graffiti being sprayed on public bus stops and some shops which is all been cleared now. As we are still patrolling to prevent this from happening further.
The local neighbourhood team have been visiting local places of worship offering reassurance and building bridges between the police in our local communities.
Smethwick town Police Community Support Officer have had a vehicle recovered for having no insurance keeping our local neighbourhood area safe and reassured.
Neighbourhood town officers have conducted patrols and welfare checks that West Cross shopping centre reassuring our retailers detecting and preventing Anti-Social Behaviour that affects our local businesses
Smethwick town Police Community Support Officers Conducted a school visit to Devonshire Infant and Junior school and conducted some road safety outside the school spoke to some of the parents educating people who were creating a hazard.
Smethwick town Police Community Support Officers Visited and conducted some traffic management outside George Betts Primary Academy as we have had a few issues with parking and traffic at all times.
Smethwick town Police Community Support Officers Conducted patrols of Cape Hill High St, Smethwick high Street and Bearwood high Street detecting and preventing any anti-social behaviour.
Smethwick town Police Community Support Officers have conducted a Street walk with our group of street walkers in the area of St Pauls keeping our streets safe.
