UPDATE! Door Kicking - Great Western Park

Dear residents,

Didcot & Wallingford neighbourhood team have been working hard in cracking down on door kicking in and around the Didcot area, mostly occurring on the Great Western Park estate. This evening, there was a further incident involving youths forcing entry into an address, causing fear to the residents within.

We are pleased to inform you that no physical harm has been caused to anyone, and identification of these suspects have been made. Officers from the neighbourhood team have visited various addresses this evening following on from this, which are the homes of the individuals involved. Multiple youths have been issued Acceptable Behaviour Contracts, detailing conditions they must adhere to, and should these not be complied with, further police action will be taken. Those who have forced entry into the address this evening have also been visited and will face further police action relating to this.

We are committed to keeping our communities a safe and happy place to live, and this behaviour will not be tolerated. Should someone be kicking another person's door, or forcing their way in, then they can expect the police to be banging on their door at any time of day to deal with the issues.

We will continue to deal with local issues when reported to us, and we hope this brings some peace to the community that this is being dealt with seriously.
