General Update

Good evening,

Hoe street safer neighbourhood team would like to update you all on the work carried out in the last few weeks.

With the new school terms underway and our ongoing commitment to safeguard young people, patrols have been conducted in and around schools within Hoe street ward to provide reassurance and maintain a safe environment for students. Additionally, we have been present outside the all girl school during the end of school days to deter incidents of violence against women and girls.

In terms of drug related activity, your neighbourhood officers have been actively patrolling in hotspots for drug related issues. Through targeted stop and searches, a quantity of drugs have been removed from the streets and offender dealt with accordingly, contributing to a safer community. 

To address recent concerns of burglaries and vehicle crime, shifts have been amended to focus on hours where these offences are most likely to take place. Plain clothes officers have been deployed and roads in which residents have had concern have been patrolled. Local residents who have been victim of burglaries have been given crime prevention advice. 

These efforts form part of our continued commitment to tackle issues that matters most to deter crime.
