Women and girls walk and talk event - Welwyn Garden city town centre : Thu 16 Oct 19:00

Welwyn Hatfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a women and girl's Walk and Talk safety session on Thursday 16th October at 7pm meeting at the knife angel sculpture on Howardsgate Green, Parkway, Welwyn Garden City.

The event led by female officers will start with a 20-30 minute walk around the town and then back to the knife angel where there will be a chance for women and girls to discuss any concerns, get safety information and make new friends. 

The October session is in conjunction with Violence against women and girls (VAWG) and aims to connect with the knife angel visit to Welwyn garden city town centre which aims to raise awareness about knife violence.

The Knife Angel is a towering, 27-foot-tall, winged figure, crafted from over 100,000 confiscated knives and blades, is not just a striking piece of art – it’s a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of violent crime.
